Our company has focused its activities primarily on comprehensive logistics services for companies, with particular emphasis on sea, road, rail, and air freight forwarding.
In caring for the natural environment, our company commits to managing its operational activities in compliance with applicable laws and environmental protection standards. We declare that in the execution of daily tasks, PEKO International Freight Forwarding W. Jankowski, P. Stachura Sp. J. makes every effort with specific environmental goals in mind. We commit to proper waste management and rational use of paper. We also ensure that when making decisions regarding the selection of subcontractors, purchases, and investments, we consider environmental aspects. Considering the needs and requirements of our contractors, we are open to all innovations in the field of environmental protection.
Environmental policy goals
- Strict adherence to emission levels and the lowest possible fuel consumption during the transport service,
- Reduction of noise levels,
- Reduction of energy, raw material, and material consumption through the use of modern energy-saving solutions,
- Increasing the company’s social ecological responsibility.
Our actions are aimed at limiting global warming by maintaining the temperature increase below 2° compared to pre-industrial levels and striving to limit the temperature increase to 1.5° above pre-industrial levels.
Due diligence
We commit to exercising due diligence in environmental matters by:
- Considering environmental risks in the company’s risk analysis process through their identification, assessment of probability, and potential impacts,
- Including environmental issues in the company’s business decisions and development strategy,
- Adhering to the highest standards and legal requirements related to the transport of chemical substances, including ADR regulations,
- Monitoring technological changes in the automotive, rail, maritime, and air transport sectors aimed at reducing negative environmental impacts.
Actions
We achieve the goals of the Environmental Policy through:
- Using EURO 6 and EURO 5 standard trucks in all international transports,
- Using electric-diesel cooling units in containers, allowing for electric power supply,
- The use of Mega trailers with a capacity of 99m³, allowing for 10% more space utilization compared to classic trailers,
- Optimizing routes and loading,
- Using lightweight trailers made of aluminum,
- Detailed planning of each vehicle’s work schedule by a dedicated forwarder in advance, with particular emphasis on reducing empty runs,
- Using modern ecological solutions for mixed road/rail and road/water transport,
- Controlling the use of natural resources in the company’s daily activities:
- Economical use of water and energy,
- Economical use of paper,
- Waste segregation.
